AEV EX Front Bumper; JK Wrangler

After pioneering the aftermarket's first stamped steel front bumper over a decade ago, AEV continues to innovate with the introduction of the EX Front Bumper for the JK Wrangler! The EX Front Bumper boasts new materials, updated styling, unique lighting options, and the meticulous attention to detail that has become synonymous with AEV.

Hot Stamped Boron Steel (HSBS) is a high-strength, press-hardened steel commonly used in automotive applications for passenger impact protection due to its lightweight nature and high yield strength. AEV has embraced this material to align with the trend of using lightweight materials for weight savings.

The EX Front Bumper retains many key features from previous Jeep bumper generations while introducing several new ones. Lighting is critical for safe travel in remote areas, so the EX Front Bumper accommodates the installation of two 7” off-road lights with AEV’s Optional Off-Road Light Brackets (sold separately). These brackets attach underneath the roto-molded center hoop, featuring a slick design that conceals wiring behind the tube, protecting it from the elements. This setup also provides better access to the winch compared to traditional bumper-mounted light brackets. All OEM fog light options are compatible with the EX Front Bumper, integrating seamlessly with the supplied brackets and bezel.

For recovery tasks, the EX Front Bumper includes two Hi-Lift Jack guides and heavy-duty, chassis-mounted recovery points tested to meet OE load specifications, accommodating 3/4" anchor shackles. You can add a 10,000lb Warn Zeon 10-S winch (or similarly sized winch) with AEV’s optional Winch Mount. To protect vital components below the bumper, an optional Front Bumper Skid Plate made from Hot Stamped Boron Steel can be added. This skid plate is lightweight yet extremely strong, acting as a formidable defense against off-road obstacles. Additionally, a 20” LED Light Bar can be mounted behind the Skid Plate for low ground lighting, especially useful in foggy or snowy conditions (mounting kit sold separately). The EX Front Bumper is e-coated and powder-coated for maximum corrosion and UV resistance and is proudly manufactured in the USA.

When exploring remote areas, proper lighting is essential. The EX Front Bumper supports the installation of AEV 7000 series lights with optional Off-Road Light Brackets. All OEM fog light options are compatible, seamlessly integrating with provided brackets and bezel. The bumper's design ensures ample accessibility and an unobstructed view of the winch cable, addressing common complaints among users.

Manufactured in the USA, the EX Front Bumper undergoes an E-coating and powder-coating process to ensure maximum corrosion and UV resistance.
