The Maximus-3 Towing Loop Package is one of the safest, easiest, and best selling tow bar adapter kits on the market for the Wrangler JK. Mounting directly to the chassis and made from 3/4" thick steel, the package includes a reinforcement tie-rod that provides a 3rd triangulated component that provides the arms of the tow bar additional strength to prevent bend outwards in the event of a surge break, delay, or malfunction of your towing set up. This towing kit is designed and manufactured in the United States, the kit is designed specifically for those with the Rubicon Hard Rock, Recon, X, and 10A bumpers but can be utilized on other bumpers with modification to the bumper to properly fit the towing loops. Refer to the installation guide to determine if your bumper is compatible as we cannot guarantee universal compatibility for bumpers outside of the Rubicon Hard Rock, Recon, X, and 10A bumpers.
The Tow Loop Package Includes:
- Maximus-3 Tow Loops
- Maximus-3 Towing Tie-Rod with Two Quick Disconnects
- Required Mounting Hardware
Why the additional Towing Tie-Rod?
The Maximus-3 Towing Tie-Rod is for anyone who flat tows their Jeep with Maximus-3 Tow Loops. This is the safest way to tow the Jeep to avoid premature failure of the product and damage to the Jeep in the event of a towing brake system malfunction or failure and why it is included with this kit. The Maximus-3 Towing Tie-Rod will triangulate your tow bar at the adapter connections to keep the towing load forces straight into the setup to prevent any side loads. If towed without the Towing Tie-Rod and the towing brake system fails or is out of calibration (delayed braking response), the Jeep will continually stress the tow bar arms open (open V-shape) causing the arms to repeatedly push the Tow Loop tabs outwards which can cause damage to both the Tow Loops and the vehicle frame.
This product will require cutting your skid plate as well as the bottom your bumper to allow for the loops to be exposed and usable.
